Preparations for the transnational are now well underway, and the coming months promise to be intense and exciting for all partners involved.

The itinerary and overall schedule have been defined: the project will travel through Bologna, Leipzig, Wrocław, and Barcelona, bringing the performances developed over recent months into dialogue with different urban and cultural contexts. At this stage, flight and accommodation bookings are in progress, and a growing sense of energy and anticipation is shared across the team as the project moves from planning into concrete realization. Alongside the main theatrical performances, the partners are collaboratively developing a series of short urban performances. These actions are taking shape through online working sessions involving the entire artistic staff, with creative coordination led by Pietro Floridia. Two meetings have already taken place, and the concept is gradually consolidating, with particular attention paid to adapting each action to the specific urban contexts and public spaces in which they will unfold.

Sustainability remains a core principle in the organization of the tour. Partners are working on eco-compatible mobility solutions, prioritizing train travel whenever possible and planning emission-compensation measures for unavoidable flights. At the same time, sustainable accommodation options are being identified through the exchange of local knowledge: each partner contributes suggestions related to lodging, hospitality, and logistics in their own city. As May approaches, many activities still need to be coordinated, but the collaborative spirit remains strong and shared.

Overall, the tour aims to promote cultural integration, circulation, and mobility through a transnational journey lasting 19 days, involving four European cities, four theatre companies, sixteen theatrical performances, and six urban actions. By adopting an eco-friendly framework and a community-centered artistic approach, the project seeks to stimulate debate and encourage the dissemination of sustainable urban living practices from an intercultural and performative perspective.

Viable Unknowns is thus preparing to become not only a tour, but a shared journey made of encounters, transformations, and new possibilities, one that leaves living traces in the places it crosses and in the people who inhabit them.
